Inspected, Graded & Certified
All sails are carefully inspected to ensure every certified pre-owned sail meets our criteria for satisfactory performance. We never offer a "bad" sail that is beyond its usable lifespan. Only sails that pass our multi-point inspection become Quantum Certified Pre-Owned sails.
All corner attachment points, luff tapes, luff hardware and reefing systems are inspected for chafe, damage and suitability for use.
The entire perimeter of the sail is inspected to help gain a better understanding of the sail, its history and potential for future use.
Evaluate entire sail for chafe and damage, including batten pockets, leech reinforcements, etc.
Inspect entire sail for tears.
Inspect all accessories on the sail for proper function and continued use, including draft stripes, Dutchman Systems, batten pocket tensioning systems, control-line pockets and cleats, etc. If it's on the sail, we're going to inspect it!
Evaluate the cloth: Where is the sail in its lifespan? How is the lamination withstanding use? How is the material holding up against its age?
Minor repairs, if required, are made by our certified service technicians and included in the stated price.
The sail is measured, documented and graded.
Sail History Report & Photos
Every product listed will include a detailed summary noting sail history, usage and the findings from our multi-point inspection. Signs of wear, blemishes, etc. will be described and photographed as well as any minor repairs made by our technicians so you will be fully informed about what you're getting. Sail Documentation
The Quantum Pre-Owned Sail Certificate is your assurance that the sail has been thoroughly inspected, graded and certified as meeting our standards for reliable performance. For any sail bearing the Quantum logo, we also go through a process to verify 100% authenticity. A copy of the Certificate is included with each sail listing for customer review.
Sail Fitting & Alterations
Found a sail you like, but the dimensions are not quite right? Or you'd like to add an option like a UV cover? Maybe convert a hank-on sail to utilize your furling system? New - Brand new sail, never left the loft.
New other - Brand new sail installed on a boat but rejected due to incorrect size or other fault related to size, options, color, etc. Sail in perfect condition with no signs of wear. See item description for details.
Used - Very Good: Slightly used sail with less than 20 hours of usage. A well-cared-for item that has seen limited use but remains in great condition. The item is complete, unmarked, and undamaged, but may show some signs of wear. Sail works perfectly.
Used - Good: The item shows wear from consistent use, but it remains in good condition and works perfectly. Estimated life expectancy is roughly half that of a new sail. It may be marked, have identifying markings on it, or show other signs of previous use.
Used - Poor. Heavily used with roughly 25% of sail life remaining. Very rarely, if ever, are sails of this type offered in our store.

Products sold in our eBay store are shipped only to locations in the United States and its territories. Most products are shipped via FedEx® ground service, which takes 1-7 business days, based on distance to the destination. You also have the option of choosing FedEx® next-business-day or 2- or 3-business day delivery as you are checking out.
Alaska/Hawaii/US Territories Shipping
Items shipped outside the contiguous U.S. to Alaska, Hawaii or US territories can only be shipped via FedEx® 2-3 Day Service. A shipping surcharge may apply.
General Shipping Information
Orders received prior to 1:00PM EST typically ship the same day with a shipping confirmation and tracking number sent by email.
An estimated shipping date will be provided for sails that are being modified at buyer's request. When ready to ship, a confirmation and tracking number will be sent by email.

All purchases from Quantum Certified Pre-Owned are backed by our 30-day Money Back Guarantee. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the merchandise within 30 days for a full refund. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and the sail or other goods must be returned in the same condition as when they were purchased.
Please note, all Certified Pre-Owned sails are sold as-is and we have done our best to provide a description and photos to help you understand what you are buying. Sails altered at customer request may not be returned.

Please include a completed copy of the Return Form that was furnished with the sail. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend insuring your package as Quantum Sails will not be responsible for loss or damage incurred in transit.
Your refund will be issued within 7-10 business days of receipt of your package pending inspection and approval.
