    The black knurled plastic knob is 1/2 inch in diameter with brass insert with 8/32 thread.
    Widely used as terminal nuts for batteries, transformers, including Lionel train applications.  Other applications include thumb screw and thumb nuts for light clamping. Also widely used on some types of tattoo machine apparatus.
    Also used as replacement nut for vintage erector sets. Child friendly Knurled knob makes it easier for little hands to complete erector set projects.
