1940s Leedy 'Academy Street' Model Snare Drum

A beautiful 1940s Leedy street drum in fantastic condition, available for grabs! This this the 'Academy Street' model snare, which stood apart from the rest of the marching snare models in that it was the only 10" (depth) x 14" (diameter) size available. This particular drum is outfitted with original White Marine Pearl wrap, including original inlay on the hoops. All of the hardware across the drum is original with the exception being a new set of snare strands installed. A few of the claws are showing brass beneath the nickel plating, other hardware is very clean.  A crack in the batter side hoop was professionally repaired, just looks like a seam now. The drum even has a school serial number badge attached to the resonant hoop. Cool mojo, beautiful drum.
